About Us

The United Road Transport Union (URTU) is the only Trades Union specifically for drivers and was keen to be at the forefront of the next generation of tachograph instruments - digital tachographs.

URTU work with Tachograph Analysis Consultants Limited (TACL) to introduce the digital tachographs to their Members.

At Truckfests all around the UK, at Regional meetings, at specific workshops, TACL was answering questions on digital tachographs and gathering driver opinions.

These opinions were ultimately fed back to Brussels and in to the development process - a valuable and significant contribution from URTU Members.
