Transport Minister Views Demonstration of the "Crown Copyright" Tachograph Chart Screening System 

This press cutting, published on the 23rd July, 1984, shows Nigel Kirkwood demonstrating the Crown Copyright tachograph chart screening system to the Transport Minister, Mrs Lynda Chalker.

This system was adopted by the Department of Transport and used in all its Regional Offices. It was also used by a significant number of Police Forces throughout the country.

Today, this system still remains the only tachograph record screening system to have been granted "Crown Copyright".
